Surrounded by rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest and the makalia waterfall, the park is gorgeous year-round and is home to both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos, and endangered Rothschild&#8217;s giraffes. The lake&#8217;s abundance of algae attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores.
